Air Hose

And other hilarious puns.
Since fitting my Kientech jet kit, I've had a couple of carburation problems. Well, I've had the same problem three times -- water blocking the pilot jet. Draining the carb and blowing the jet out is a half hour job and it fixes the problem straight off, but I've no idea how the water's getting in there. I've investigated potential problems with the tank, and I've drained it dry. Petcock looks okay. I'm stuck. I've also been finding water, oil and petrol mix in the airbox, but not a great quantity. The carb vent tube had been installed incorrectly when I bought the bike, and I'd been putting it back as I found it every time. I corrected that -- it's now facing away from the direction of travel, clipped over the airbox lid.
Just in case the water's being inducted through that gaping hole that I drilled in the lid, I thought I might fit some sort of mesh to keep lumps out, and maybe encourage water not to run off the tank and straight in there. I was thinking of riveting or gluing a mesh onto the lid with silicone.
Then I had a brainwave. Pantyhose!
Mmm, sheer.
